Hello everyone!
It’s been an exciting few months since my last update, and I’m thrilled to share some of the progress I’ve made on my journey to the Olympics. As always, your support means the world to me, and I’m excited to bring you up to speed on where I’ve been and what’s next!
Wrapping Up the South American Winter Season-
After a successful training block in the Southern Hemisphere, I capped off the South American winter season with a thrilling race in Valle Nevado, Chile. It was an incredible experience, and I’m happy to report that I managed to drop my Giant Slalom (GS) FIS points by 60 points—a significant improvement! Every race and every turn is another step closer to my Olympic dream, and I’m constantly learning and refining my technique. Valle Nevado provided tough conditions, but it was the perfect opportunity to test my limits and see just how much I’ve progressed this year.
Dryland Training and Ski Fit in October-
With the South American season behind me, October was a month of intense dryland training. I focused heavily on building strength, endurance, and mobility through Ski Fit workouts, which are crucial for keeping my body in peak condition during the off-snow months. I’ve been working on everything from core strength to explosive power, ensuring I’m ready to attack every slope in the coming months.
A Milestone: Meeting the Jordanian Olympic Committee-
A huge highlight for me was meeting with the Jordanian Olympic Committee in Amman to discuss my participation in the upcoming Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China, in February 2025. This was a pivotal moment in my Olympic journey as it marks an important step in securing my spot on the Jordanian team. The Committee has been incredibly supportive, and we’re making great strides in preparing for the Games. It’s an honor to represent Jordan on the international stage, and I’m incredibly excited about the opportunities ahead.
Back on Snow: Training in Sweden-
Now, I’ve returned to snow training, but not just any snow—I'm currently up in the far north of Sweden, where the conditions are unlike anything I’ve ever skied on before. The surface here is *icy*, really icy, which makes for a whole new level of challenge. It’s a test of my skill and adaptability, but I’m embracing every moment. The colder, icier conditions will be critical preparation as I gear up for the rest of the season and the big races ahead. Training on this kind of surface forces me to stay sharp and really focus on my technique, which will pay off in the long run as I take on tougher courses later in the year.
Looking Ahead-
There’s so much ahead—more training, more races, and of course, more milestones on the path to the Olympics. As I continue to push my limits, I’m reminded that this journey is a marathon, not a sprint. Each day of training, every race, and every setback is a part of the bigger picture, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to chase my dream of competing at the highest level. I can’t thank you enough for the continued support, and I’m so grateful to have you along for the ride. Keep an eye out for more updates as I prepare for the upcoming season—and beyond!
Onward and upward,
