Hello Wright Training Athletes!
Hope you have been enjoying the snow and getting outside to play. The workout of the week focus’ on endurance. We are mixing up some cardio and strength for a mid-week kick in the butt!
This workout will get your heart rate up as well as force you to focus on the breath within each movement. This workout translates into performance in the backcountry, with a goal of building stamina. Find a pace during the AMRAP that keeps you moving, however, it shouldn’t be too slow or too fast.
The more muscle we can get to work, the more it will challenge your heart and your cardiovascular system, which builds our STAMINA! I find myself dreading a boot pack sometimes, and this workout helps keep the mind on quick movements followed by a strength exercise. All actions we need on the mountain.

4x Hang Clean with a Push-Press
6x each leg Bulgarian Split Squat
Shoulder Dislocate (PVC pipe or another stick)
20 Minute AMRAP
30x Jump Rope
10x Wtd Sit-Up
10x Wtd Walking Lunge with a Twist
5x Downward dog to Cobra (lower the body and lift through the chest)
30 sec EOS
30 sec Boat hold
30 sec back extensions
