TIS THE SEASON for a total body workout Wright Training Athletes!
We focus on starting slow, to move fast. This is a strength workout with short sprint mixed in. Warm up the body with 10 reps of each, then work your way down to 1 rep. Listen to your body if you need to modify.
Next, we have six rounds with kettlebell cleans, focus on keeping your core engaged. Bulgarian split squats are great for working the ski legs, while simultaneously stabilizing the lower leg muscles as well. Remember to keep your chest up and avoid letting the knees cave inward. This will help warm up the lower body, for our AMRAP.
During the short twelve-minute workout focus on quality, quick movements. This is a chance to keep your heart rate up! Try and recover your breath on the front squats and alternating push-ups so you can perform at maximum power 85%- 90%. You got it!
The last part of the workout is CORE. Our core is important for all activities, skiing, lifting, and general posture. It is 4 rounds of TABATA (20 seconds work/ 10 seconds rest). Work hard, and push yourself! You are your own coach today, feel the burn. Happy Holidays Team,– Angie
