Hey hey, Wright Training, happy start of spring to you all. I’m not sure about the rest of you but I am still hoping to have some big storms come in and be able to get out on some fresh powder with more of this beautiful sunshine and warmer temps. With all that quad work from all of this skiing, give the following workout a try which is more hamstring and posterior chain dominant.
Strength Circuit – 5 Rounds
Grab a set of Dumbells or Kettlebells and complete the following, increasing weight if you are always able to keep a neutral spine through each of the three hinge movements.
- 8 Bent-Over Row
- 8 ea Split leg hinge
- 8 Deadlifts
Finish each round w/ 1 min of pigeon each side
Then give the following conditioning a try which still has some movements that isolate the posterior chain.
20 min AMRAP
- 5 ea Lateral Lunge
- 10 Cals on the rower
- 15 kettlebell swings
- 20 Alt Atomics
- 30 Hippity-hops
