JENNY CHARLES

Q: You reached 46,564 vertical feet throughout July!! What was your toughest, single adventure last month?
A: Hiking up Glory – while it definitely wasn’t one of my long journeys last month, the steepness always gets me breathing hard!
Q: What’s your “go-to” trail snack?
A: PIZZA – always in my pack on long adventures!
Q: How long have you been working out at Wright Training? And how much do you think your efforts in the gym have attributed to the several vertical MILES you’ve hiked/biked/climbed?
A: I joined Wright Training in February this year when the Victor Gym opened and make it a goal to average 2 classes a week. I attribute a lot to WT – before I started strength training it was hard to stay injury free. This becomes more and more important the older I get. My core and legs are much stronger from consistently going to the gym. I have a lot of free time so my passion is to be out playing in the mountains 4-5 times a week – staying injury free is key!
Q: Any other thoughts or advice?
A: Find 2-3 hours each week to get to the gym for strength and endurance training! This gym work pays off and will keep you hiking, running, and biking safely.
