We just passed the half-way mark through the ski fit program and I can say I already feel stronger! You want proof? We began ski fit with doing 6 rounds of 6 reps on the “Quadzilla” circuit, which I was doing with 15 lb dumbbells, and already we are up to doing 6 rounds of 10 reps, plus I’ve increased my weight to 25 lb dumbbells!
I’m so excited to be doing ski fit again this year because I know how much it helped me with my skiing last year. When all of my friends were complaining about various aches and pains during our first week of skiing, I felt better than ever! Another thing I noticed from last year was how much my new strength helped me with injury prevention. I spent the winter pushing myself as much as I could, so naturally I had some big crashes, but I luckily came away with no injuries, and I definitely noticed that I wouldn’t feel as sore or beat up after a big crash as I used to.
Now that I’m starting this year’s ski fit on an even better foot than I did last year, I’m already excited to see how much better I will feel on my skis. Luckily, I convinced my friends to do ski fit with me this year so we will all be ready to rock as soon as the snow starts falling!
