On June 17th, 8 Wright Training athletes set out to compete in in the Lory Xterra Triathlon in Ft Collins, Colorado!
For most of the athletes it was their first Triathlon. However, Jovanna Hart has competed in several endurance competition, however, she had never competed in an Xterra event. Jovanna took charge to getting all the athletes sign up for the event and even set up training programs for everyone. The athletes trained as group getting sessions on the bike, swimming and running. Having sport specific training helps a lot with injury prevention, recovery and performance. The athletes were also strength training at Wright Training. It is common for some athletes to only train their aerobic system for endurance style races. However, it is incredibly important to keep up with your strength training to keep the body balanced and injury free.
